Echoes of Second Grade

I have Mrs. Quinn for second grade. I got in trouble in the bathroom today. Somebody slammed the toilet seat and it made a really neat echo, so I tried to make sounds that would make a really neat echo too. It wasn't until I came out that I learned it was echoing in the hall too. The short sister in first grade was waiting outside and asked me who was making all that noise. My face must have given me away, but it also gave away that I didn't know you could hear it in the hall, so I guess I really didn't get in trouble, but getting caught was punishment enough for me.

Soccer Defenseman

I like playing soccer. I play defense. My job is to kick the ball as far away from our goal as possible, so the other team can't score. Audra, David, and Billy came to watch me today. They cheered loudly every time I kicked the ball. I still have no idea what the red and yellow cards mean though.

Fire Department Coloring Contest

I won the Berkeley Hills Fire Company Coloring Contest. It came with a nice plaque.

First Grade

I miss my mom and Kindergarten. My mom gave me a picture of herself to look at when I feel bad. That helps. I also made a picture to give to Miss Cain. I gave it to my friend Jeff to give to her because he has her this year, but he just gave it to her and told her he made it himself.

Fingerprints

I got my fingerprints taken today by the police in case anyone ever tries to steal me.

Kindergarten

I have Miss Cain for Kindergarten at Saint Sebastian's. My best friend there is Gina. We played with the house together.

Speech

I went to the Laughlin Center today to play with a teacher. She told my mom my hearing's fine, but I have some articulation problems with sh, ch, j and th.
