Aunt Lou

I got a President Coin collection from Aunt Lou this year. It's pretty neat.

Blue & Gold Awards Dinner

I was the top popcorn salesman again (thanks to Dad). I also earned my Webelos badge. If more people thought an Eagle Scout was worth going for, I probably would, but I think this is it for me and scouts.

Kelly has a sister

Mary Elizabeth was born today! Sister John Gabriel will be happy to hear about it from me. She says I don't talk enough. Someone even told on me for talking once when we were supposed to be working quietly and she told them that's good because I'm too quiet sometimes. Of course, there was the time we were throwing a bean bag around and it landed on the teacher book and when I went to grab it, I got a little of the page too. I put the page back and kept playing and if she ever found out it was me, she didn't do anything about it.

Carnegie Museum

We all wore our Cub Scout uniforms and got to go to the Carnegie Museum together today. It was fun.

Bowling Champions

I joined a bowling league at McKnight Lanes this winter. I won Most Improved, so that helped my team win the Championship. They made teams after the took a baseline of everyone's averages the first week, so since I was so bad the first week, I had a lot of better bowlers on my team and once I figured it out, we were better than all the other teams whose worse player was still pretty bad. I went from a 100 average to about 126. The best player on our team was a little older than me, but funny. Whenever he wouldn't get a strike in the first frame, he would always say, "There goes my 300 game.”

Fourth Grade

Fourth grade started this week. I have Sister John Gabriel for most classes, but I have Mrs. Balsomico for some. I got my first NI from her on a 4 question worksheet, where I missed 2. I went to the bathroom, so no one would see me getting teary-eyed. I also got punched by Brian C. in gym class. At least, I have learning the saxophone to look forward to this year. There's also a band summer camp, where you play music and other things like kickball with Mrs. Wilson.

Ponderosa

We went out to Ponderosa with my friend Paul and his family. I told him about how I can make a weed-whacking sound with my mouth. It's like an extended raspberry. It was really funny. My mom heard me do it for the first time too.

I'm going to have Mrs. Gannon for third grade this year and get to make volcanoes out of play dough. That should be neat.
