Overflowing Love

“May the Lord increase you and make you overflow with love for one another and for all, even as our love does for you.” –Thessalonians 3:12

Love conquers all. However, it’s important to remember that it’s God’s love that we are supposed to share with the world, not our own love. If the love we give isn’t from God, it’s lust. All good things come from God. God is love, so the more love you have to give, the more of God you have you too. It’s a good way to measure your faith.

Can you name one loving act you have done today? For example, I took time out of my lunch to help a student with work already today.

Can you think of another loving act you can do before the day is done? For example, I plan on giving blood tonight.

Are you willing to share your answer(s) in the comment section?

My platform isn't changing, but my outlets are. Besides writing, I would like to create some multimedia posts for YouTube from OneTrueMedia or even PowerPoint. If any of you followers are interested in joining me for the ride, I welcome you to join me.

Starfish

My daughter Claire had a feeling, the same feeling she had last month, that she would be selected as a Starfish this month. It's the student of month based on how nice they are. She wasn't the Starfish last month, but she was right this month. I'm proud. I've been making a conscious effort to help her academically, but I'm even more glad she's getting recognition for being one of the nicest kids.

Let down

Many around here are emotionally invested in the Pittsburgh Steelers and feel let down the morning after losing the big game. Some have that feeling after any of their games. We had hopes and expectations for the team and they did not live up to them, but we will root for them another day. We let God down daily, but he always remains faithful to us. Let's use today as a reminder. Everyone's priorities should begin as I saw one sign say: God. Family. Steelers. I would debate the third priority, but the first two are solid.
